The winery COMPAÑÍA DE VINOS HERACLIO is located in Alfaro, the heart of the Eastern Rioja, a region with a great winemaking tradition. It was founded in the 1970s and since 2018 it has been part of the Terras Gauda group.

The winery offers modern facilities, built on an old aviation hangar, a coincidence that has inspired the name of both the first wine and the winery, in a tribute to the pioneer of international aviation in the early 20th century.

The identity of Heraclio Alfaro has been built around an attachment to the terroir, to the Rioja winemaking tradition and to centuries of collective wisdom. Also, to a model of viticulture that respects the environment and prioritizes the sustainability of the vineyard.

The winery is surrounded by the vineyard that forms part of the El Estarijo estate, 110 hectares of land where the characteristic varieties of the area are grown, as well as fruit and olive trees.

The visit begins in the vineyard, continues inside the winery to show our winemaking process and ends with a tasting of two of our wines, accompanied by an appetizer.

We request you to fill out the web form to arrange a tour. If the required date is not available, send us an email to enoturismo@heraclioalfaro.com at least 48 hours in advance of the date. After receiving your request, we will contact you to confirm the tour via email. The time schedule will be adjusted to the group request and the availability of the winery.

Price per person: 15,00 € (VAT included).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

All tours are accompanied by our guide and can be made in Spanish or English.

Places are limited. There is not a minimum number of participants and the maximum is 15.

Please be punctual for the correct development of the activities.

The visit is free for minors and they must come with an adult.

Pets are not allowed, except for guide dogs.

The visit is paid at the time of booking through the payment gateway. In case of cancellation, as long as it is made more than 48 hours before the scheduled day of the visit, you must send us an email to enoturismo@heraclioalfaro.com and if there is no possibility of changing the dates, the amount will be refunded through bank transfer. No refunds or date changes will be made within the last 48 hours.
